From a marketing perspective, technology has changed the way our customers live and communicate. As marketers we need to understand just how this occurs and shape our products and services accordingly.
Amber Case is a cyborg anthropologist, who studies the interaction between humans and technology. Amber says technology is evolving us. Technology (cell phones and computers) have become our ‘external brains’, but Amber says technology is actually helping us to be more human.
Thought provoking, Amber’s insights are useful to marketers monitoring the impact of technology on our customers.
See her presentation here.
Interesting also are her comments on reflection which for me highlight the marketing opportunity of enabling and encouraging our customers to reflect. More white space required in all that we produce and all that we do perhaps? What do you think?
