Is there something you’d like to know more about in developing marketing strategies for your business? Here are five marketing questions I’m frequently asked. I hope you find the responses useful!
1. How can we market our products with limited resources?
Resources are always limited for businesses regardless of size, necessitating careful allocation of expenditure for the best possible return. How to market with limited resources?

4. What’s branding?
A brand is often thought of as a mark or distinguishing element – the company identifier, almost like a personal signature. However this is just one aspect.
A brand represents everything your organization offers.

5. Can you recommend a great marketing book?
Of course!
Rework by Jason Fried & David Heinemeier Hansson
I highly recommend this book written by the two founders of 37 Signals – a trailblazing software company. Rework so nicely complements Seth Godin’s Linchpin and contains the same no nonsense ‘just do it!’ attitude of Tom Peter’s. You can read it in one afternoon and will be inspired afterwards to tackle your best work!

What is your most important marketing question?

Hi Anne, I really like the layout of this article, and can’t resist a good question.
In answer to your question, my “most important marketing question?” is:
How do we make sure that the marketing campaign delivers to financial business outcomes?
Best, Robin
Hi Robin!
Thanks for dropping by and your question – a good, juicy one.
Campaigns based upon sound planning containing three key aspects will lead to more assured financial outcomes.
These are: i) a thorough understanding of your customers and ii) the way in which your products/services satisfy their needs and solve their problems in iii) the context of key environmental influences which impact both your ability as a provider to supply these services and a consumer’s propensity to purchase them.
These three aspects will guide the shape and duration of the campaign including the investment required to achieve objectives.
The probablity of delivering financial business outcomes (sales, profits, ROI) is greatly increased by the holistic and integrated consideration of these aspects.
Hope this answers your question! Thanks again for providing it!
